She lived quietly in Wales for over 20 years far from her homeland, but beside the man she loved.
In December 2024, tragedy struck. Her husband passed away suddenly, leaving her heartbroken and alone.
At 66 years old, with limited English, she struggled to navigate daily life. Her savings were nearly gone, and the small civil pension from her husband' s employer was no longer enough.
One day, she found the number of EasyStepUK. She called us tired, worried, and unsure of her next step.
We spoke with her in a language she understood, and more importantly with compassion. After understanding her situation, we discovered she may be eligible for Universal Credit.
Our team helped complete the necessary questions for her Universal Credit application, then sent a draft as a PDF for her reference.
We also guided her to the local Citizen Advice Bureau for further support or to submit the form herself, if she felt confident.
She thanked us for the free support. At EasyStepUK, it' s not just about information,it's about restoring dignity and hope.
We' re here for people like her and like you.

On 14 May 2025, EasyStepUK was proud to participate in the University of Southampton' s Spring Career Fair, joining dozens of organisations in supporting students on their journey toward employment and personal development.

Throughout the day, we spoke with over 100 attendees who were eager to learn about our free workshops, one-on-one support services, and volunteering opportunities. The event was not only a chance to raise awareness but also a reminder of how important accessible, community-driven support is for young people navigating life and work in the UK.

We didn’t just show up at the Refugee Festival in Hounslow we showed up to listen.
Over two days, we heard stories of courage, change, and starting over. Some had just arrived in the UK. Others had been here for years, still navigating challenges.
People opened up to us about job struggles, missing family, trying to find their place. And we were grateful to share how EasyStepUK can help.
We offer more than information. We offer understanding, guidance, and a sense that no one’s walking alone.

A sunny summer day. A park alive with rhythm, colour, and connection.
This is the Leys Festival 2025 and this year, EasyStepUK was proud to be part of it.
Under the banner of “One People, One Place,” our team brought resources, energy, and compassion to a space filled with hope.

Through collaborative art and storytelling, we amplified migrant voices highlighting what it means to belong, to grow, and to give back.

On 10 August, EasyStepUK hosted our first community workshop at Hartley Court Hub.
Around ten children and their families joined us to explore the world of oil painting.
Meet our tutor, Mr. Xue, a well-known artist and educator.
He began with the basics: colour, light, and brushwork—keeping theory simple, practical, and fun.
Then, brushes up! Everyone tried their own version of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers.
What started as blank canvases soon became bold, joyful paintings.
Parents painted alongside their children, sharing tips, laughs, and a few happy accidents.
By the end, every participant took home a piece of art and a big boost of confidence.
Thank you to Hartley Court Hub for the space and support, and to Mr. Xue for inspiring the next generation of young artists.
