Student Video Discussion Project – Youth Voices in Action
At EasyStepUK, we believe young people’s voices deserve to be heard.
Our Student Video Discussion Project invites international and migrant students across the UK to share their real experiences and ideas in short self-recorded videos.
This ongoing youth-led project has already featured over 100 students from universities and colleges nationwide — most of them international students. Their stories explore identity, study, friendship, wellbeing, and belonging in the UK.

Youth Voice – Migrant Youth Leadership & Storytelling Network
(Empowering young migrants to speak, connect, and lead)
Our Vision
We believe that every young person with a migration story deserves to be heard.
EasyStepUK’s Youth Voice Network empowers young migrants and young people with lived migration experiences to express themselves, connect with peers across communities, and lead conversations that shape how migration and inclusion are understood in the UK.
Through digital storytelling, open dialogue, and creative collaboration, we help young people build confidence, leadership, and belonging — turning individual stories into collective power.
What We Do
The Youth Voice Project invites young people to take part in short video discussions and dialogue sessions, exploring themes of identity, belonging, culture and inclusion.
Digital Platform: Participants record short multilingual videos (5–7 mins) sharing their experiences of life and study in the UK.
Online Reach: With participants’ consent, selected videos are shared across YouTube, TikTok and Spotify — reaching thousands and inspiring global dialogue.
Campus & Community Circles: We host open discussions at UK universities and community spaces, connecting youth across backgrounds.
Collaborations: We work with local councils, cultural centres and youth groups to expand opportunities for participation and leadership.
Over 100 young people have already joined — most from migrant or diaspora backgrounds — using their voices to promote understanding, challenge stereotypes, and build a more inclusive society.
Why It Matters
Many migrants in the UK — Chinese, Indian, African, Eastern European and others — primarily access content in their own languages, rarely appearing in mainstream English media.
Their stories, perspectives and contributions often go unheard.
Our multilingual youth storytelling network bridges this gap.
By creating bilingual content and amplifying authentic youth perspectives, we’re changing who gets to speak, in what language, and how society listens.
This is how systemic change begins — when migrants represent themselves, rather than being represented by others.
Our Approach
EasyStepUK combines online and offline engagement:
A digital-first model connecting multilingual youth voices across the UK and beyond;
A community-rooted approach built on care, trust and collaboration;
A learning culture — where reflection and feedback from young participants directly shape our next phase of work.
Our values are grounded in diversity, wellbeing and anti-racism.
Every activity ensures safety, consent, and respect, supported by trained staff and volunteers.
Future Direction
Over the next three years, EasyStepUK aims to:
Build a national network of migrant youth leaders and storytellers;
Train young people in digital advocacy and creative communication;
Collaborate with universities, councils and community partners;
Host an annual Youth Voice Summit celebrating youth-led dialogue and cultural exchange.
Our goal is to make migrant voices visible, multilingual and influential — shaping a future built on inclusion, understanding and equality.
