Build the skills and confidence to lead local movement activities, with training from Dr Jin Xie and practical support from EasyStepUK.
Adults aged 50+ who are interested in flexible paid work through community activities. We welcome interest from migrants, people returning to work, and people with long-term health conditions or disabilities. We will discuss your experience, access needs and whether the pathway is right for you.
Develop Tai Chi and gentle movement skills, clear communication and safe activity-leading practice. Training and pace will reflect your starting point.
Observe sessions, assist an experienced teacher and practise leading agreed activities under supervision. Jin will assess your readiness and help identify your next steps.
We plan to support you with an online profile showing your skills and service area, simple webpages, Eventbrite listings and social media. We can help you approach community centres, councils and local charities, and explore paid sessions or self-employment.
Our planned teacher directory will offer free profile listings for participants ready to promote their services. Ongoing mentoring will help with session planning, promotion and local connections. Any independent delivery will depend on readiness and the requirements of the venue, customer and insurer.
We are developing this programme and welcome enquiries from potential participants, venues and community partners. Dates, location, training format and any fees will be confirmed before booking. Enquiring does not commit you to payment.
This is a supported training pathway with internal assessment; it does not award an externally recognised teaching qualification or guarantee paid work.
